How Envio Medical runs French-speaking patient coordination from WhatsApp

Envio Medical is a medical tourism agency in Istanbul. Most of its patients come from French-speaking Africa: Benin, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Togo and Gabon. Nearly all of them first reach Envio on WhatsApp, and they write in French.

Patients write at all hours

Between late July and late September 2026, 7 in 10 patient messages came in outside Istanbul office hours. Istanbul is two hours ahead of Benin, so many of these messages come after the working day ends in Turkey. Some patients send a scan or a medical report with their first message. In that period, AriaBee handled more than 600 WhatsApp conversations with French-speaking African patients. Its median first reply time was 12 seconds, and 9 in 10 patients got a reply within 20 seconds, at any hour. It answers in French, asks for missing details and collects the patient’s documents. It covered an orthopedic exam, a lumbar spine CT scan and eight nights in Istanbul.
